Travel Full Time School Registered Nurse Job in Boulder, CO

• Location: Boulder, CO
• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: May 23, with possibility of renewal for Extended School Year (ESY) or Next School Year (NSY) if a good fit
• Work Schedule: Part-time, 34 hours per week
• Caseload: 1:1 with a 1st grade student
• Work Arrangement: Onsite
• Compensation: $40 per hour

Duties Include:

• Suctioning: In the mouth as needed, not as often as before. Trach suction is very rare during the day, unless the student stays outside (without the humidifier) for over 30 minutes, then saline nebulizer and cough assist are required, totaling about 10-15 minutes.
• Positioning: Change position every 2 hours at least, with multiple options besides the powerchair. Diaper changes required at least 4 times during school hours.
• Tube Feeding: Administer breakfast and lunch in school, with each feed taking 1 hour. The student can engage in other activities while eating. Additionally, water will be administered about 5 times during school time, delivered bolus with a syringe in any position he is in.

Requirements:

• Experienced RNs are welcome
• Ability to perform duties related to suctioning, positioning, and tube feeding
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with the school director, family, and other staff members
• Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with young students
• Familiarity with working in a school setting is advantageous
