U.S. Digestive Health (USDH), one of the fastest-growing GI specialty groups in the nation. Due to growth, we are currently seeking 2024 Gastroenterology Fellowship grads in need of J-1 waivers to join our well-established and respected practice in Newark, Delaware, located less than an hour from Philadelphia and about 45 minutes from the Philadelphia International Airport.

This location has already been approved for a total of three J-1 slots. If you are interested please respond rapidly as these positions are likely to fill up quickly! You would also have access to our wonderful Immigration Attorney.

This is an incredible opportunity to join one of the fastest growing Gastroenterology specialty groups in the nation.

Highlights:

  • 19 physicians at two locations in Newark, Delaware.
  • One of these J-1 slots can be used at our smaller 3-provider practice in Lewes, Delaware, which is a beautiful, world-class beach resort area in the southern part of the state.
  • The hospital with whom they provide patient care is Christiana Care, a nationally ranked, non-profit, tertiary, research and academic medical center.
  • Where you could live: Physicians live in Philadelphia, Philadelphia suburbs, New Jersey and Delaware. These areas have some of the most livable suburbs in the country and best public and private schools. Incredible place to raise a family.
  • Delaware also has tax-free shopping, lots of outdoor things to do trails, parks, sports plus very close to the Southern Delaware Beaches (1 1/2 hours) and some of the lowest property taxes in the country (if you are interested in purchasing a home).
  • Transportation: In addition to close proximity to Philadelphia International Airport, there's an Amtrak station in nearby Wilmington, Delaware that can take you pretty much anywhere - a quick, comfortable ride to New York City or points South. Baltimore (1 hour) and Washington, DC (2 hours) are a short drive down I-95.
  • Your call would be split evenly among the other docs. You would potentially be 1:9 nights and 1:9 weekends. Physician extenders take the first call at nights, so you won't be woken up with bowel prep questions, and patients with chronic complaints that want to talk after hours. Physician extenders see the consults and follow-ups and work weekends.
  • The office is well-staffed and provides excellent physician support - coordinators track down labs, schedule patients, anything you could need.
  • We want to underscore that all of our practices emphasize a work-life balance: great pay, less time in the hospital, lots of time off, the autonomy to make their own decisions, and an MSO that takes care of all the administrative burdens, so the physicians can spend more time with patients - and their families!
  • Flexible scheduling, controlled by the practices.
  • Robust health benefits.
  • Potential for sizable future earnings.
