Scope of work
In collaboration with clinical and administrative leadership, coordinates all aspects of the Stroke and Sepsis program. The Sepsis and Stroke Program Manager works collaboratively with physician leadership to promote patient safety and quality care. The Sepsis and Stroke Program Manager demonstrates the ability to plan, organize and lead, influence and control activities pertaining to patients, personnel and the environment. Manages all non-physician activities related to the stroke and sepsis programs using evidence-based principles and the standards set by the American Heart Association and the Joint Commission. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: coordination of stroke and sepsis related initiatives including Joint Commission Stroke certification. The Stroke and Sepsis Program manager is responsible for collection, completion, and verification of the accuracy of all patient data collected and reported. The Manager maintains clinical and statistical data as required by Beaumont Health and the Joint Commission. The Manager will provide data collection and statistics to the Stroke and Sepsis quality committees to promote positive outcomes and patient education. Other activities include: staff education, process improvement, peer review. The Stroke and Sepsis Program Manager will represent the hospital in any state, regional or organizational meetings and act as liaison to the community to promote stroke and sepsis prevention.
